A Self-Help Guide For Natural Remedies

Varicose Veins Natural Treatment Home Remedy

Varicose veins are abnormally enlarged, swollen veins that occur most often in the legs. They are the result of a breakdown of the valves inside the veins that allow blood to flow back to the heart. If the valves do not work properly, blood accumulates in the veins, stretching them and causing varicosity.
Because lack of circulation contributes to the formation of varicose veins, they are common in people who sit for prolonged periods of time without movement (usually at their job), who sit with their legs crossed, who lack proper amounts of exercise, who are overweight or pregnant, or who family exhibits a tendency toward varicose veins. People who are overweight of who engage in heavy lifting, and women who are pregnant, will be more prone to varicose veins because they put increased pressure on the legs.
These prominent, bluish, bulging veins are often accompanied by dull, nagging aches and pains. Swelling, leg sores, leg cramps, and a feeling of heaviness in the legs are characteristic of varicose veins. See your doctor if you have any of these symptoms. Do not be concerned if you have spider veins; they are harmless and should not cause any problems.
Hemorrhoids are a particularly painful type of varicose veins. Hemorrhoids are varicose veins of the anus or rectum. Symptoms of hemorrhoids include rectal itching, pain, and blood in the stool. Besides lack of circulation, hemorrhoids are usually caused by constipation, improper diet, and liver damage. See HEMORRHOIDS in Part Two for further information
